Bluetooth Firmware Update

You can download the latest updates to your Bluetooth Alpine device.

1. Compatibility Charts

If you are able to pair your mobile phone without any problems, there is no need to update the software.

We recommend that you check the Bluetooth firmware version on your Alpine product and compare the mobile phones listed in the Compatibility Chart.

2. Download Software Tool and Firmware

Please follow the step-by-step instructions to update your Alpine device.

How to update your Alpine device Software

1. Download Bluetooth Software Update Tool to PC with built-in Bluetooth or a Bluetooth dongle.

 

2. Park and turn the engine off. Keep the ACC key position.

3. Set Bluetooth communication with PC and confirm current software version of Alpine device.

4. Update the Bluetooth software.

Warning

  • The update software varies by model. Confirm the software before updating.
  • Updating requires a computer with built-in Bluetooth or a Bluetooth dongle.
  • Do not update Bluetooth software while driving.
  • Do not turn off the vehicle’s ACC or Head Unit power while updating. The update will not be performed correctly and the product may become unusable.
  • Updating results in all user information being deleted: user settings, paired phones, and phonebook contacts.

Instructions

(1) Bluetooth Update Software

The Update Tool is an automatic software that will guide you along the updade procedure.

 

1. Open the „setup.exe“ file and folow the instruction on the screen. Then press the „Next >“ button.

3. Select the „Start Menu“ folder in which you want to create a shortcut for the update tool and press the „Install“ button, or simiply press the „Install“ button if the preset directory is ok.

2. Select the folder where you want to install the „Bluetooth Software Update Tool“, and press the „Next >“ button.

 

4. After the installation is finished, the next window will appear. Press the „Finish“ button. Your update tool is now installed and ready to be used.
